Paxil Side Effect: Diarrhea
The Food and Drug Administration has approved Paxil, an SSRI antidepressant, to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, anxiety disorder and post traumatic stress disorder in adults. It has been proven to have successfully managed the conditions. However, some patients who used the drug also experienced side effects. The side effects reported were either minor or major, depending on its severity. Drinking fluids in between, not during, meals is also recommended so as to prevent vomiting.
Generally, diarrhea fades away on its own. Diarrhea brought about by Paxil is common during the first few days of intake. Paxil should be given ample time to get rid of its side effects.
